Winter Celebrations 2022: December 23
Celebrate the holiday season with us! Between December 21-31, the first floor of Anvil Centre will come alive with the Winter World lantern labyrinth and performances. Winter World visits are free and include community performances and activities. The event mainstage also features ticketed events that offer something for everyone with plenty for families and art lovers alike. Celebrate the holidays with family and friends at one of our FREE community performances.

Uzume Taiko 2-3 pm
Uzume Taiko celebrates the rhythm of life itself with its uniquely theatrical blend of music and movement. Using a diverse collection of percussive and melodic instruments as well as taiko drums, Uzume Taiko has developed a dynamic fusion of old and new styles of drumming – bringing a vibrant, contemporary sensibility to an ancient art. With the choreographed physicality of martial arts, the heart-stopping pulse of the O-Daiko and the rhythmic sensitivity of a jazz ensemble, the drummers of Uzume Taiko create an exhilarating sensual experience.
O Come All Ye Soulful 7:30-9:30pm
Join two award winning powerhouses – vocalist, Dawn Pemberton and bassist/bandleader, Jodi Proznick and an all-star band as they bring a joyful and soulful bounce to your favourite holiday classics. The music includes holiday classics made famous by Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, John Legend, Donny Hathaway, Otis Redding, Darlene Love, Vince Guaraldi, and more!
