Anvil Theatre Presents

Pharis & Jason Romero

Saturday, April 17, 2027 | 7:30pm

With a sound described as “a triumphant, seamless, heart-warming blend of classic folk, vintage country, acoustic blues and old-time tunes,” Pharis & Jason Romero have spent the last 15 years quietly blowing audiences away. They’ve won an unprecedented four JUNO Awards over the past decade for Traditional Album of the Year, and their live shows centre around songs from these albums.

Known for their vocals with eerily family-like harmonies (Pharis is three-time Canadian Folk Music Awards Traditional Singer of the Year) and their incredible sounding instruments (especially the banjos they build themselves), they bring a quality of stylish joy to the stage. Pharis’ songwriting is engaging, melodic and lyrically quirky enough to reside in the listener’s mind long after the show is over. Their current touring band features Trent Freeman on fiddle and Patrick Metzger on bass. These two musicians join Pharis & Jason on much of their newest record, These Are The Days That Turn In To Years

When you come see Pharis & Jason Romero, you can look forward to great songs, a fiddle-banjo duet or two, big harmonies and a band that makes incredibly special music together.

The 2026/2027 Anvil Theatre Presents series features award-winning artists from near and far. Innovative. Captivating. Awe-inspiring. This season, discover something new…something classic…something for everyone. The Anvil Theatre is the place to be.
