George composed the music. Brother Ira wrote the lyrics. Together, the Gershwins created many of the quintessential songs that formed The Great American Songbook. Among the beguiling tunes the Gershwins fashioned for Broadway and Hollywood are “Someone to Watch Over Me”, “Embraceable You”, “Nice Work If You Can Get It”, “I Got Rhythm”, and “They Can’t Take That Away from Me”.

In this unique multimedia presentation, classic film scholar Michael van den Bos whisks you away on a fabulous flight through the glories of Gershwin featuring live song performances by jazz vocalist Angela Verbrugge and her quartet, interwoven with vintage musical clips from classic Hollywood movies projected on the big screen.
