Chibi Taiko was formed in 1993 by Shinobu Homma, with the goal of passing the dynamic performing art of traditional Japanese drumming on to the next generation of Asian Canadians in the Lower Mainland. Currently, the Chibi Taiko ensemble includes members from 6 years old to 30 yrs old.

Recognized as one of the most talented youth performing groups in BC, Chibi Taiko has performed locally, nationally, and around the world. To celebrate their 30th anniversary, Chibi Taiko will be performing at the Anvil Theatre in New Westminster on Sunday November 12 at 7:00pm.
